Advice Needed - three year old kinder behaviour

I have a three year old son, who attends three year old kinder. All these times I have heard a mixture of feedback about his behavior in the room. Nothing alarming.

In the last few weeks we got a new room leader who is demanding for my son to get tested for autism, reason "he interacts with another child that is autistic, only kids that are autistic interact with one another"

Does anyone on here knows much about autism and whether this is true?

I have booked an appointment with pediatrician, but it's at end of September.

Just looking for other people opinion, as i dont know much about autism. Have tried googling and am not getting an answer.
