Step into history where the bay meets the ocean.
This summer, you and your family are invited to experience one of Victoria’s most significant heritage sites - Point Nepean Quarantine Station - in a powerful new way!
Welcoming more than 600,000 visitors annually, Point Nepean Quarantine Station holds layered stories of migration, maritime health, military use, Indigenous heritage and environmental significance.
Running Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm,
Quarantined: Stories Behind the Gates is an all-new immersive guided tour of Point Nepean Quarantine Station that brings these histories to life through costumed storytelling and atmospheric interpretation, set within the dramatic coastal landscape of Boonwurrung Country.
No myths, just history.
This flagship heritage experience explores the human impact of quarantine, including the journey of the Ticonderoga's passengers, the realities of disease and isolation, and the resilience of those who passed through the station.
Combining rigorous historical research with site-specific interpretation and access to rarely explored areas of the Quarantine Station,
Quarantined: Stories Behind the Gates explores the real events and people that shaped this rugged peninsula.
"Point Nepean’s Quarantine Station holds some of the most powerful human stories in Australia’s history," said the founder of Point Nepean Experiences, Jacqueline Travaglia.
"This tour allows visitors to step into those stories and experience the site as a living place of memory, resilience, and cultural significance."
Journey through 150 years of courage, quarantine, and coastal defence.
