What's the greatest opening theme of all time? If it's Star Wars, you’ve chosen well – this is the fanfare that launches Season 2026. Start your year with the MSO and the unforgettable music of John Williams, as crashing cymbals propel you on a journey to a galaxy far, far away…

The gala then lands in the Jazz Age with Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F. At its 1925 New York premiere, audiences might have gone home to read the hottest new novel, The Great Gatsby. Here, French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet channels the era's glittering energy. Many will know his work from soundtracks, including Pride and Prejudice and The French Dispatch.

MSO Chief Conductor Jaime Martín drives the night to a thrilling finish with Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances, also composed in the United States in the early 20th century. Begin your year of live music with these monumental contributions to popular culture.
